Our Philosophy

Welcome to Hazelmere Acres Preschool and Daycare – where learning opportunities are endless.

The preschool years are the foundational years of a child’s learning and they are exciting years of discovery and exploration. These years offer children the chance to awaken, develop and refine their skills and abilities, while increasing their confidence, self-esteem and independence. Any and every topic is open for discussion and sensitive periods for language development and motor control are happening indoors and outdoors. As teachers it is our job to guide the children through familiar and challenging activities, while being sensitive to the needs of each child. The wonderful setting of Hazelmere Acres Preschool allows us the opportunity to incorporate our love of early education with our love of animals and the outdoors, and to provide a safe and exciting preschool experience.

We, as Early Childhood Educators, plan strategies that promote children’s learning and individual growth. Our daily schedule at Hazelmere Acres Preschool offers a good balance between active and quiet times, group activities as well as time to play alone or with others. Indoor and outdoor play; time for children to select their own activities and time for teacher directed activities.

This balance of activities allows children to develop at their own pace, socially, physically, emotionally, cognitively and creatively.

We fully support an open-door policy. Any questions, concerns, comments please be sure to ask, tell and share. We, too, are learning, growing and striving to be the best we can be!

Nature is an endless learning ground for every student who loves to learn with fun and exciting activities. We offer a variety of indoor and outdoor activities that help children grow physically, emotionally, socially and cognitively.

Children can learn teamwork and sportsmanship during group activities. They also enjoy their favorite activities that they do on their own. In doing so, they build their independence and self-confidence. While teacher directed activities teach them obedience, respect, and courtesy. We also offer horseback riding activities that make children feel excited every time. Here, every activity is designed to nurture various skills of children that help them to discover and appreciate their strengths and potential.
